This includes accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments, sorting, and picking and packing items and ensuring products are stored in the correct locations and in good condition.Duties and Essential Job Functions:Moves product from one location to another at direction of Warehouse Shift LeadPushes boxes and totes on cartsRolls rolltainers on and off dockLifts and transfers product from rolltainers and U-boats to totes and carts, and vice versaSorts and stocks product both in and out of totes, as well as cases on rolltainersBreaks down cardboard and takes out trashLoads and unloads stock onto and off of trucksQualificationsKnowledge and Skills:Effective interpersonal and oral communication skillsUnderstanding of safety policies and practicesAbility to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manualsAbility to count product when picking and sortingEffective organization skills with attention to detailWork Experience and/or Education:High school diploma or equivalent preferredWorking Conditions:Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and kneeling for extended periods of time; which may also require the ability to push and/or pull rolltainers with merchandiseFrequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as handheld scanners, box cutters, merchandise containers, U-boats (six-wheel carts), rolltainers and cartsFrequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 poundsOccasional climbing (using step ladder) up to heights of six feetFast-paced environment; moderate noise levelOccasional exposure to variable temperatures, non-climate-controlled work environment
