Quirk Creative, ranked #3 Fast Company’s Most Innovative Workplaces, is an award-winning, WBE-certified advertising agency specializing in video-based campaigns for social, digital and broadcast channels. We are a hybrid creative strategy and production agency, with our commercial directors and producers in house. While the typical agency producer would bid for an outside production partner, edit house, etc, our producers work with our internal commercial directors to build our production crew for each project. We’re looking for a full time Supervising Producer to join our growing agency.
Responsibilities
- Lead certain video/photo productions, ensuring that your shoots bring to life the creative vision, and are on time and within budget. This includes:
- Managing and monitoring production budgets, including tracking all production-related invoices and wrapping production expenses
- Booking catering, coordinating dietary restrictions among crew, talent and client
- Sending crew and talent start paperwork, coordinating payroll processing vendor
- Developing call sheets
- Sourcing and secure shoot locations—from studios to on site locations, including travel shoots
- Securing crew and equipment rentals
- Casting and securing talent, including posting casting calls, coordinating with agents, coordinating callbacks and negotiating with selected talent
- Manage two Producers on your team, who also produce their own shoots and ensure that all Quirk shoots remain on time and within budget.
- Oversee the internal production team’s resourcing and delegate shoots / tasks accordingly
- Guide and mentor more junior members of the team, celebrating successes in addition to delivering precise and timely feedback and follow up
- Lead the charge on expanding our team’s connections with new production partners, including DP’s, photographers, set crew, musicians, locations, casting avenues, etc.
- Keep up to date with all industry best practices, informing internal teams and clients of all current and future industry protocols and initiatives
- Effectively set and manage budget and timing expectations with internal teams (Accounts, Creative, Post) and provide clearly communicated realities, solutions, and opportunities before and throughout the process
- Oversee quality control and closing out of projects in a thorough, consistent, and timely manner, including communicating timing of closing out projects with leadership
- Work with Managing Director and the Accounts team to continuously evolve and improve the production process
- Identify and secure potential opportunities to push Quirk’s production initiatives including sustainability and production internship programs
Qualifications
- 6-8+ years of experience (including 1-2 years managing) producing a range of video/audiovisual and photography content for TV, social channels, digital and OTT including large and low budget domestic and international productions, table-top and animation
- Ability to produce from 2 person crews to 30+ person crews, and creatively flex up and down with budgets as needed to fulfill projects
- Deep and ever-expanding network of production partners and crew
- Willing to travel for shoots, including international shoots
- Advanced knowledge of the production process including union and non-union shoots, BA, and insurance requirements
- Excited to work in a small team where you have tons of responsibility and room to grow
- Fiscally responsible, and experienced in building out and managing budgets in Hot Sheets
- Super detail oriented and hyper organized
- An absolute self-starter with a get-the-job-done mentality
