Supervisor, Pricing OperationsThe Price Operations Supervisor provides leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to Pricing Analysts and Product Value Analysts. This role ensures the effective execution of pricing strategies, data quality, and product value initiatives to support ARUP's financial objectives. They will drive innovation in pricing models, manage pricing tools and databases, and partners with cross-functional teams to optimize profitability and operational excellence. Providing and fostering strong leadership, analytical thinking, and effective communication with a deep understanding of pricing operations and market dynamics.ARUP Laboratories is a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory and an enterprise of the University of Utah and its Department of Pathology. Consider joining our dynamic team.Supervise, mentor, and support the pricing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Oversee daily pricing operations, including workload distribution, prioritization, and performance management.Develop, implement, and monitor pricing strategies and guidelines in collaboration with leadership.Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of pricing data, systems, and tools.Lead process improvement initiatives and drive adoption of new pricing technologies.Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback to inform pricing decisions.Present pricing recommendations and reports to senior management.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Train and develop team members in pricing analytics, tools, and best practices.Collaborate with Revenue Management, Lab Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve pricing issues and optimize profitability.Drive use and improvement in advanced Excel, pricing software, and data analytics tools.Other duties as assigned.Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.QualificationsEducationRequiredBachelor's Degree or better in Business or related field.PreferredMaster's Degree or better in Business Administration or related field.ExperienceRequiredBachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related fieldSeven (7) years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or related disciplineAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis toolsDemonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver results under tight deadlinesPreferredMaster's degree in business, finance, economics, or healthcareExperience in laboratory testing, product pricing, or healthcare revenue cycleExperience with pricing systems, offer development, and contract managementSupervisory experiencePricing Professional certification
