OVERVIEW:

Contributes to launching new programs, implementing process improvements, continuously improving capabilities/quality, maintains manufacturing certifications, and cooperates with customers to deliver premium products.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works effectively with internal and external personnel, engineers, and stakeholders to help develop new programs and/or improve existing programs (continuous improvement).
  • Review design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products.
  • Perform process analysis using statistical tools such as process capability studies, machine capability studies, gage repeatability and experimental design.
  • Supports product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
  • Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
  • Issue, resolve, and maintain corrective action documents with suppliers on a timely basis.
  • Oversee the controlled document system, to include a final review of all changes to procedures, work instructions, forms, master lists and other associated documents to ensure quality certification requirements are met.
  • Ensure products meet the organization’s and customers’ quality and product integrity requirements.
  • Collaborates with supervisors and other leaders to assess and refine processes for each new job, update/improve existing jobs, and work to mitigate/eliminate defects.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with GD&T, FMEAs, and Quality Problem-Solving.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as a liaison with project managers, customer support, and other stakeholders.
  • Hands-on Industrial Plant Quality Engineering experience.
