Our Switching and Fusing Business Unit in Leeds, Alabama is looking for an SAP Master Data Specialist that will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the master data within an organization‘s SAP system. The SAP Master Data Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle of master data within SAP, ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and timely across various business functions. This role involves collaborating with different departments to gather data requirements, troubleshoot issues, and maintain data quality.
A Day In The Life- Master Data Management: Create, update, and maintain master data related to customers, vendors, materials, BOMs (Bill of Materials), routings, and pricing within SAP.
- Data Governance: Ensure adherence to data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and consistency across the organization.
- Data Validation and Auditing: Regularly validate and audit master data entries to ensure compliance with data standards and correct any discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve data management processes to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
- User Support: Provide support to end users regarding data issues, training, and SAP system navigation related to master data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, supply chain, finance, and IT, to gather requirements and ensure data needs are met.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements or data-related business decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure all master data activities comply with internal and external regulatory requirements.
Education: Bachelor‘s degree in information systems, business administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in master data management within an SAP environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules (MM, SD, PP, etc.).
- Proficiency in data management tools and processes.
- Experience with data migration and data quality tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
- Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
