CashierThe Cashier provides efficient, accurate, timely, and courteous cashiering services to all age groups of customers. Minimum of 20 hours weekly to include rotating weekends. The Cashier demonstrates a willingness and ability to learn new tasks and help others in the work area. If functioning as a cashier in the Pharmacy, underage customers must be accompanied by an adult in order to receive medication.Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/ALicensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/AExperience REQUIRED: Previous experience in a customer service related position.Experience PREFERRED: Previous cashiering or cash handling experience.Education/training REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent.Education/training PREFERRED: N/AIndependent action(s) required: Able to work independently performing cashier functions.Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): N/AAdditional position requirements: Depending on unit assignment, must be available to work additional hours, varying shifts, weekends and holidays as determined by supervisor.Age Specific groups served: AllPhysical Requirements (includes use of assistance devices as appropriate): Physical Lifting 20-50 lbs.Activities: Prolonged standing, Prolonged sitting, Frequent bending, Walking (distance), Climbing (steps, ladder, other), Reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive), Repetitive motionMental/Sensory: Strong recall, Reasoning, Problem solving, Hearing, Speak clearly, Write legibly, Reading, Logical thinkingEmotional: Fast pace environment, Steady pace, Able to handle multiple priorities, Frequent and intense customer interactions, Noisy environment, Able to adapt to frequent change
