Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Human Resource/Safety Manager located in Charlotte, NC. As a Human Resource/Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources and safety compliance within the organization. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing employee relations, implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws, leading safety training programs, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in human resources management, with a focus on employee relations and compliance
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in conducting investigations and resolving employee relations issues
  • Experience in safety compliance and knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Ability to develop and deliver safety training programs
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, but not required


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage daily human resource functions including employee relations, employee on-boarding, off-boarding, leave administration and performance management
  • Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently and effectively
  • Collaborate with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records
  • Help create a positive culture within the workforce
  • Have a working knowledge of employee benefits to help guide employees through the different benefits packages
  • Be in charge of safety program and getting relevant info out to employees in a timely manner
  • Help in management and maintenance of H2A program (100+ workers in this program)
  • Aid in insurance and 401k renewal process with upper management
  • Stay up-to-date on all HR law requirements and changes
  • Stay up-to-date on OSHA requirements and reporting deadlines
  • Order and maintain supply orders for employees ensuring availability
  • Procure and aid in the employee screening process/background checks
  • Be familiar and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Office, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Have knowledge of I9/E-Verify process and be certified in administering
