Therefore, all field employees will be cross-trained in various trades such as millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, civil, etc. The focus of this position will be in lay out, assemble, install and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports and related equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, compressed air and industrial production and processing systems. However, it will not be entirely set to this specific skillset./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliCut, thread and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders and benders./liliAssemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering and threading joints./liliAttach pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clams, tools or welding equipment./liliInspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods./liliMeasure and mark pipes for cutting and threading./liliPlan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications./liliAdditional skills in other crafts will be necessary to meet our customers need and will be expected in this role./li/ulpSupervisory Responsibilities:/ppNone/ppEducation and/or Experience:/ppHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./ppReasoning Ability:/ppAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations./ppPhysical Demands:/ppWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
