As the Retail Assistant Manager, you will drive sales through comprehensive product education, maintain industry knowledge, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You will play a pivotal role in team building, aligning with our mission and vision, and coaching team members to enhance their skills. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing inventory levels, maintaining the POS system, and ensuring a smooth customer experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of retail operations.ResponsibilitiesSupport the General Manager in leading and creating a culture that prioritizes employee development and customer serviceDrive sales through product education and maintaining Cannabis industry knowledgeBuild teams in accordance with our mission, vision, and goalsDevelop and coach Terrabis Leads to help elevate their skills and expertise.Establish a culture of accountability through setting clear expectations and performance managementSupport the General Manager in developing team schedules and assisting with dispensary staffingResponsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicating inventory action items with the General ManagerWork with General Manager to ensure retail store operations run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, including daily activities, maintenance, and employee concernsComplete and appropriately delegate (if applicable) tasks assigned during scheduled shift, including: cleaning of the store, bathrooms, patient areas, and break roomCorrect cash handling and discount application when applicableVerification of proper paperwork, documentation, and ID for patientsAccurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) systemEnsure POS stations are ready to go at store openingEnsure opening and closing checklists are completed in a timely mannerAssist General Manager in maintaining healthy inventory management processes, including deliveries, cycle counts, and verifying order accuraciesAssist with investigating product discrepancies and maintaining a culture of complianceOther duties as assigned by the General ManagerQualificationsBachelor's degree preferredCannabis experience preferred2+ years in a supervisory or management role in a retail setting required, preference for specialty retailInventory control experience requiredMust be proactive, with strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strong communication and leadership skillsMeet timelines consistently and be able to effectively work under pressureContinuously open to constructive, developmental feedbackHigh level of interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, often working cross functionallyStrong math skillsAbility to use standard office equipment and computer software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and emailAdditional RequirementsMust be 21 years or olderMust pass all required background checksMust possess valid driver's license or state IDRemain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industryMust be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
