This is an excellent growth opportunity for a self-directed individual who wants to learn and take on new challenges.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Data Center Power Program Manager, we'll count on you to have:Program management experience, preferably with multiple remote teams nationallyTechnical experience with high voltage switchyard and substation projects of small to large size and complexity, including at a minimum, conceptual knowledge of physical, electrical, civil, and structural design componentsExperience with power delivery substation constructionKnowledge of utility frameworks, design standards, utility interconnect processes, and preferred project delivery models across the USAbility to coordinate with marketing and client leaders to build client relationships and develop new opportunitiesExperience with scoping, estimating, and developing switchyard and/or substation data center projectsUnderstanding of contractual risk and mitigation strategies in various delivery modelsAbility to coordinate with local, regional, and national operations, technical leaders and project team leadership to develop teams for engineering execution to deliver world class quality in design and construction support of projectsAbility to work with local leadership and project teams to meet area and company financial plansExperience with project management activities, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, and quality control, schedule, and budget managementAbility to communicate, organize teams, build efficiencies, and document processesPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related fieldUnderstanding of contractual risk and mitigation strategies in applicable delivery modelsRisk identification and management experience with power delivery regulatory approvals and designProven experience managing projects, completing feasibility studies and alternatives analysis, design, managing client relationships, proposal development and business developmentStrong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, and collaboration skills; ability to work independently and as part of a teamProficient with Microsoft Office and conferencing platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Google Hangouts, Teams, etc.)Licensed Professional EngineerStrong understanding of substation power projects from conception through constructionMinimum of five (5) years of substation design or construction experiencePMP or PgMP, CMAA or CCM, AICP certificationExperience participating in the consultation or owner program management team of at least one infrastructure program(s) with a capital value of $350 million preferredKnowledgeable of other alternative delivery/contract models, such as public-private partnership (P3), design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM), and engineering procurement construction (EPC)Experience working in an integrated fashion within a Program Management Office (PMO) comprised of consultant and client staffWillingness to travel and, if needed, commute to a client's site temporarilyPower Delivery experience with large scale private developers (renewables, industrial sites, data centers, etc.) and a variety of utilities (i.e. investor-owned utilities, public utility districts, municipalities, cooperatives) and regions across the USPreference given to local candidatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related fieldProgram management experience consistent with one of the following requirements:A minimum of three (3) years of program management experience in a deputy role to the Program Manager for the delivery of one or more programs, with a cumulative capital value of $200 million or more, or;A minimum of five (5) years of program management experience as a Project Manager or Project Controls Manager for the delivery of one or more programs, each with a capital value of $200 million or more, or;A minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience as a Project Manager directing a multi-disciplinary team for the delivery of at least two (2) projects, each with a capital value of $50 million or moreStrong leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team culture and managing team members in various locations.Excellent communication skills. Comfortable presenting to client executives and in front of a large audience in a public settingManagement experience with the implementation of projects or programs using alternative and collaborative delivery methods, including design-build (DB), progressive design-build (PDB), and/or construction management at-risk (CMAR)Familiar with the various tools used to manage large programs - PMIS, CMIS, scheduling, cost control, document management, risk management, asset management, dashboard analytics, etc.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR is our company.
