We are currently looking for a SQF Coordinator in one of the fastest growing companies at their Pembroke, NC facility.


The SQF Coordinator will lead in the development, implementation of continuous improvement of Food Safety & Quality Regulatory Compliance programs. SQF Coordinator works directly with the Quality Manager regarding HACCP, GMP's, traceability, Food Safety Plans, and prerequisite programs, including verification and validation activities. SQF Coordinator leads all internal, regulatory and customer audits. This position is also responsible to ensure all programs and documents are in compliance with regulatory, 3rd party and customer requirements.



Your Day to Day


  • Understands the SQF Level 3 facility certification requirement and acts as lead SQF Practitioner to maintain certification for the food manufacturing facility.
  • Coordinates and leads regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits to ensure compliance.
  • Implement SQF and customer requirement in the process and procedures.
  • Perform risk analyses for Food Safety and Quality plans and threat analysis.
  • Assess the effectiveness of the FSQ programs by conducting internal audits and train employees or modify procedures to meet standards.
  • Updates and maintains the QA Manual on an annual basis.
  • Leads the implementation of project and be responsible for the maintenance of the FSQ programs.
  • Manages the CAPA program by collaborating with key stakeholders related to actions and timelines needed to address FSQ concerns, gaps, or audit findings.
  • Oversees hold and release programs for Finished Product and Ingredients to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications.
  • Investigates and writes reports for customer complaints.
  • Works with Key Stakeholders and QA team to investigate and resolve FSQ issues.
  • Ensures all documentation are completed accurately.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


What You Bring to the Team


  • Bachelor’s degree in food science or Related Field
  • Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Preferred manufacturing background
  • Performs work with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented.
  • Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time.
  • Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence on the Production floor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates good verbal communication skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
