Landscape Maintenance TechnicianThe landscape maintenance technician role within Real Estate Operations has the responsibility for routine landscape maintenance, light building maintenance/carpentry repairs, and light cleaning. The primary focus of this role will be to maintain grass, trees, shrubbery, and ground surface covers. In this role, you will respond to colleague and business requested work orders and have a routine schedule of work orders to complete. Primary responsibilities include:Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties as requiredMow lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmowerLandscape by planting, trimming, and maintaining flowers, grass, shrubs, bushes, and small treesShovel snow from walkways and apply traction as neededClean parking lots, sidewalks, and all exterior areas while performing routine groundskeepingPerform spring and fall cleanups to remove excess debris, leaves, and trim landscapingPerform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeepingInstall new hardscaping, river rock, fencing, signage, and other furnishings as requiredPressure wash building exterior and refresh parking lot painting as neededClean gutters and roof drains of debrisRespond to emergency and non-emergency service requests and prioritize work order responseRefer work to vendors if necessary, via work order systemClosing out work orders upon completion; via iPad or Computerized Maintenance Management SystemMaintain inventory of supplies, tools, and materials and purchasing supplies at the best available priceCommunicate in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customersEnsure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and utilized in a safe manner consistent with established standardsQualifications include:2 or more years of experience in commercial landscape maintenanceExperience driving larger vehicles such as box trucks & pickup trucks with trailersProven customer service experience and/or abilitiesCompetent use of MS Office applications to include MS Excel, Word, OutlookAbility to travel as requiredDemonstrated written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracyAbility to plan and prioritize workloadAbility to work outside in all types of weather to complete jobs safelyProven track record to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to assure successful timely completion of allComfortable working at heights (ladders, roof top, etc)Ability to lift up to 50 poundsEducation, certifications, and/or professional credentials include:High School Diploma or EquivalentValid Drivers License, requiredHours & Work Schedule:Hours per Week: 40Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with some weekend or overtimePotential change of schedule during winter months working nights/weekends. 2 week notice will be provided before any change in schedule, barring emergenciesAt Citizens, we are committed to fostering an inclusive culture that enables all colleagues to bring their best selves to work every day and everyone is expected to be treated with respect and professionalism.
