As a DevOps Software Package Engineer, you have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. Our small agile teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs.

What You Will Do

Manage software package processes for cutting-edge satellite ground systems.

Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

What You Will Learn

  • Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.

  • Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects.

  • Satellite ground system technologies including command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning and scheduling, and spacecraft operations.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of relevant software engineering experience.

  • Experience with software package management processes (e.g. transferring software from unclassified to classified environments, repository mirror management, custom package creation, Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) creation and attestation, or artifact vulnerability scanning).

  • Experience with Linux and Git administration.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is also required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • CompTIA Security+ certification.

  • Experience with tools such as Maven, Docker, Helm, PyPi, YUM, and Conan.

  • Experience developing software using Java.

  • Experience with Test Automation, DevSecOps, and CI/CD processes.

  • Experience working with a large-scale legacy software systems.

  • Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.

  • This software engineering position is onsite at our Aurora, CO location.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
