Job Title: Construction Coordinator

Location-Type: Onsite 5 days/week in Ludlow, MA

Start Date Is: ASAP

Duration: 2-year contract with potential for extension

Work Hours/Timezone: 6:30am-5pm EST

Compensation Range: $68-88/hr W2


The Construction Coordinator is responsible for overseeing construction activities at the client's Client facilities. This role involves coordinating internal and external resources, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and providing direct feedback to the management team. The coordinator will also manage technical document reviews, monitor budgets and schedules, and handle administrative tasks related to the construction project.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Participate in safety meetings and enforce compliance with safety standards.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies.
  • Communicate construction progress and issues with the project team.
  • Coordinate work activities between plant operators and contractors.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to standards and productivity.
  • Conduct field measurements and track material quantities.
  • Evaluate construction techniques for quality, safety, timeline, and cost efficiency.
  • Document site activities and provide reports on cost, schedule, and stakeholder issues.
  • Address non-conforming work and collaborate with contractors to resolve issues.
  • Support management with punch-list activities and provide lessons learned for future projects.
  • Participate in project meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves:

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline plus 5 years of experience supervising construction, OR
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline plus 7 years of experience supervising construction, OR
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role on a multidisciplinary technical project in the industrial, power, utility, gas, or oil industries.
  • Skills:
  • Knowledge of Client, gas, power, or plant construction principles, practices, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving, schedule management, and project administration skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Licenses & Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Construction Supervisor's License
