School Aide

School Instructional Aide, Para Educator, and/or a CNAAmergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Instructional Aide, Para Educator, and/or a CNA to work in a classroom setting for the new school year starting in Fall 2025. We need Healthcare Professionals to assist a general classroom, a specific student, or small group of students and get evaluated before receiving an ongoing/long-term case.Key Details:Pay Rate: $18 $22 per hour based on behavioral experience & trainingPaid WeeklySchedule: Monday to Friday. Or certain weekdays you are availableReg. School Year Hours: 7:45, or 8:00am 1p, 2:15p, or 3:40pm (shifts may vary) No weekendsBenefits: Paid Sick Time BenefitsCommitment Level: 15 30 hours of availability.Minimum Requirements:State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)Current CPR if applicableTB skin test, PPD or chest x-ray within the last 6 monthsCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)Must meet all federal, state and local requirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageNext Requirements:Must be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skillsComputer proficiency preferredSuccessful completion of background screening and onboarding processMust meet all federal, state, and local requirements, Full command, verbal and written, of the English language, in addition to ASL preferablyCurrent certificate as applicable per state and/or client requirementEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Follows through with IEP objectives including math, reading, speech, independent skills, and managing behavioral deficits and excesses, one on one or as a general classroom aideFacilitates teacher directed learning activities including lesson plans, worksheets, reinforcement systems, small groups, social games, and work assistanceAssists students when included into general education classesCommunicates pertinent information to teachersAccompanies students during recess and lunch periods, along with community experiencesStrictly adheres to confidentiality requirements regarding all matters pertaining to students, parents, parent communications, and/or classroom activities.
