Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor – Fusible Alloys (aka Low Melting Temperature Alloys)

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and collaborating with other departments to achieve production goals. The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a smooth and productive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

**Supervision and Leadership:**

Lead and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support.

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting a safe and respectful working environment.

Schedule and assign tasks to ensure timely completion of production goals.

**Production Planning:**

Collaborate with General Manager to develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization.

**Quality Control:**

Enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.

Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to minimize defects and improve overall product quality.

**Process Optimization:**

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

Implement and oversee lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

**Health and Safety Compliance:**

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.

**Inventory Management:**

Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels.

Coordinate with the General Manager to ensure materials are available for production.

**Communication and Collaboration:**

Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding production status, challenges, and achievements.

**Performance Metrics:**

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve production performance.

Analyze data to identify trends and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on production supervision.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
