We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for an opening in Latrobe, PA.

Direct/Permanent Hire - Fully Onsite


Job Duties:

- Propose improvements to the current purchasing system that will improve vendor relationships and lower the cost of doing business

- Develop metrics for gauging inventory level needs and maintaining adequate levels throughout the year

- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities of the company and related industries

- Manage supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.

- Manage the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation

- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes


Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field

- 3+ years purchasing experience

- Knowledge of inventory, supply chain management, and purchasing

- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

- Strong planning and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently
