About The Position
**Job Title:** Pharmacist**Job Specialty:** Emergency Department Pharmacy**Job Duration:** 13 weeks**Shift:** Nights - 12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), rotating schedule with 7 days on and 7 days off, including every other weekend**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department**License:** NC pharmacy license required**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, and PALS**Must-Have:**- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from a recognized college or university- Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred- Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies- Knowledge of quality measures- Strong skill in performing pharmacy procedures- Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members**Job Description:**- Work in a busy emergency department setting as part of the pharmacy team- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care- Manage and dispense medications accurately- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department- Provide drug information and education to staff and patients as necessary- Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals- Perform medication reconciliation and review for potential interactions
