Environmental Services TechnicianWe are seeking an Environmental Services Technician, also referred to as a EVS Technician or Hospital Housekeeper. The EVS Technician ensures a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent infection. The EVS Technician will handle waste disposal, restock supplies, maintain floors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs.Shifts Available: DaysEmployment Type: Full-timeHours: 8-hour shift from 7:00am to 3:30pmLocation: Dallas Medical Center Farmers Branch, TXHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefitsResponsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infectionsProperly disposing of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocolsRestock supplies like gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various hospital areasClean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicalsRespond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents and communicate promptly using phone, handheld radios, pagers, and other devicesMaintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling between facilities independentlyQualifications:Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:One (1) year of knowledge within acute care hospital environmental service techniques, practices and procedures preferred.High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.Must be able to read, understand and communicate effectively.Employment Status: Full TimeEqual Employment Opportunity: Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
