As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and support services to clients in their homes. Your role is crucial in assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting their dignity and well-being. Key Responsibilities: -Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating. -Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility needs, including transferring from bed to chair, using walkers or wheelchairs, and providing support during ambulation. -Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take prescribed medications as directed by healthcare professionals and monitor medication intake, while not administering medications unless certified. -Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with feeding as needed while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences. -Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning, and organizing to maintain a safe and clean environment. -Companionship: Provide emotional and social support, engage clients in conversation, and encourage participation in recreational activities to combat loneliness and promote mental well-being. -Record Keeping: Document client progress, changes in health status, and notify supervisors of any concerns or changes observed in clients’ condition. -Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive care plan. Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Home Health Aide preferred. -Previous experience in home health care or a related field is an advantage. -Compassionate and respectful demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. -Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if travel is required). -Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. -CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
