Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher Team Lead to join the dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in dispatching drivers, managing customer relations, and coordinating operations with ports and railroads. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of intermodal dispatchers to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate daily dispatch activities, including assigning drivers to routes, scheduling pickups and deliveries, and optimizing load assignments.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, ports, and railroads to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
• Monitor shipments in transit, address any issues or delays proactively, and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Oversee documentation and compliance requirements, ensuring all regulatory standards are met.
• Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the dispatch team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in dispatching drivers within the logistics industry, preferably in the intermodal transportation sector.
• Strong understanding of transportation logistics, including knowledge of ports, railroads, and related regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, carriers, and team members.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and motivating a team.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in relevant computer software and transportation management systems.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed to support 24/7 operations.
