Sales AssociateReporting to the Store Manager, the Sales Associate is the customer service specialist of the store. They are responsible for exceeding customer expectations by listening to customer needs, finding products that meet their needs, providing in-depth product information about the goods they are interested in, and closing the sale.Salary: $15.50/hourKey Responsibilities:Meet and exceed sales goalsMaintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.)Pro-actively manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the U.N.I.Q.L.O. service standard, following the Uniqlo Fundamental Principles and saying the 6 standard phrases.Be knowledgeable of fitting room standards and assist when neededAct as cashier when required by following cashier protocolProcess shipment and ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor in full size runsAssist management to identify and resolve issues in the storeProvide product and brand knowledge to customersFollow all company policy and procedures & notify management of any infractionsAssist with special projects as assigned by managementRequired Skills and Abilities:Strong communication skillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentagesAbility to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull, move, lift or carry objects of at least 25 pounds.Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbingSchedule Requirements:Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including nights, evenings and weekends.Education/Experience:High School Diploma or G.E.D., or 6 months retail or related experienceBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & ADD, Short and Long Term DisabilityFlexible spending and commuter benefits accounts15 days of paid vacation/personal leave and 9 days of sick leave per calendar year, pro-rated based on hire date;8 days of paid holidays and 1.5 times the employee's regular rate for all hours worked on stated holidays401K (with employer matching)Full-Time Availability Requirements:Average 32 or more hours per week based on business seasonality.Open availability on weekends (religious exemptions will be considered).Restrictions on availability limited to two days per week.Part-Time, hourly position: The Company provides:Commuter benefits accounts1.5 times the employee's regular rate for all hours worked on stated holidays401K (with employer matching)Part-Time Availability Requirements:Minimum of 12 hours availability per weekThe Company is committed to equal pay initiatives and will not ask candidates for their current or past salary.
