A successful candidate will direct student research projects, teach world civilizations and upper-level undergraduate history courses, and work with pre-service teaching candidates in preparation for teaching certification exams. The base teaching load at A&M-SA is 3/3. The department seeks excellence in instruction, research, and service. Summer teaching assignments may be available but are not guaranteed.Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.Required Education and Experience:A Ph.D. by the time of appointment in history or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in history.University teaching experience commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor.Demonstrated specialization in Medieval Europe or Early Modern European history.Evidence of scholarly achievement including engagement with the field of Medieval Europe or Early Modern European history.The priority date for applications is October 15, 2025.
