We take that very seriously because we care About the Position: Here at the Oklahoma Forensic Center, the Nursing department is hiring for Nurse Managers who would be assigned responsibilities involving the supervision and management of staff, program, and units in an inpatient behavioral health facility. This includes responsibility for broad management issues in planning, organizing, and integrating various functions for which responsibility is assigned and directing assigned staff in meeting the goals and objectives of the program. Open/Close dates: 10/8/2024-until filled Full-time Hourly payrate: $38.46 $3.00/hr shift differentials when working evenings, weekends, or holidays; $5.00/hr shift differential when working nights Primary Working Hours are: 6:30am-3:00pm FLSA Status: Exempt Primary Work Location: Oklahoma Forensic Center/Nursing Vacancies: 1 Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and four years of professional nursing experience, two of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or a bachelors degree in nursing and three years of professional nursing experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or a masters degree and two years of professional nursing experience in a supervisory capacity. Special Requirements: Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check. Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and have a valid drivers license. Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds. The Oklahoma Forensic Center (OFC) located in Vinita employs around 260 individuals and has approximately 216 consumers who have been found incompetent for adjudication or adjudicated as Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. Transitions Recovery Center (TRC) also in Vinita, is a secure 52-bed forensic step-down unit. Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-placement Testing: Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety-sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.
