LHH is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant in the Houston TX area. Our client is a business services company and is looking to hire as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.


Responsibilities:

  • Participate in month-end close activities
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Assist in financial statement preparation
  • Provide schedules for financial audits
  • Lead/mentor staff accountants


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of three years of relevant and progressive professional experience in Accounting


Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel
  • Understanding of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
