We are currently seeking a dedicated Critical Care Advanced Practitioner (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to practice at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. Requirements: Graduate of a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Program NPs must hold Acute Care certification NP or PA should have experience in critical care post-education Ability to obtain PA/NP licensure in Illinois Must be a team player and possess collaborative skills Opportunity: Work a nocturnist schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM on a 7-on/7-off rotation (Tuesday to Tuesday), providing coverage for a 16-bed Critical Care Unit. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality care to critical care patients, including handling patient admissions, consults, and following up on post-op surgical cases. On average, you will handle about two patient admissions per night. Desired procedural experience includes performing central and arterial lines, as well as intubation; however, we are willing to train the right candidate Receive on-the-job training alongside a collaborating physician for support in your role.
