Supply Chain ManagerAcara Solutions is looking for a Supply Chain Manager for one of our clients located in Niagara Falls, NY. The Supply Chain Manager oversees all aspects of vendor management, purchasing, inventory, and production planning to support the client's defense and energy programs. This role ensures that supplier performance, material availability, and internal capacity are fully aligned with program delivery requirements.The Supply Chain Manager drives efficient resource allocation, schedule adherence, and compliance with defense industry standards. This position requires a blend of strategic planning, tactical execution, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of manufacturing planning systems, inventory planning, supplier performance management, and cost control within complex, high-compliance production environments.Key Responsibilities:Manage a team of 3 - 4 people in Niagara Falls, NY and Ashland, OH facilitiesLead all supply chain functions including vendor management, purchasing, inventory control, and production planningDevelop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), balancing contract commitments, furnace capacity, labor, and material constraintsOversee supplier qualification, performance metrics, and on-time material deliveries to meet program milestonesDrive sourcing strategies that optimize supply continuity, cost, and quality while maintaining compliance with defense contracting requirementsManage procurement execution for direct materials and critical components, ensuring alignment with production schedules and budget targetsLead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to synchronize demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory strategies across departmentsMonitor and improve key supply chain KPIs, including supplier delivery performance, inventory turns, schedule adherence, and lead time reductionConduct scenario and risk analysis to anticipate the impacts of demand changes, supply disruptions, or capacity limitationsCollaborate with Program Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve resource constraints and align production prioritiesSupport facility modernization and capacity expansion initiatives through long-term material and workforce planningEnsure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, and related defense industry requirementsPrepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership, providing visibility into supply chain performance and improvement opportunitiesJob Requirements:Required Skills / Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline5-7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, purchasing, or production planning in the aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing sectorsProficiency with MRP/ERP systems, capacity planning, and production scheduling toolsStrong knowledge of supplier management and procurement best practicesPrior experience in regulated or high-compliance environments (AS9100, ITAR, DFARS)Demonstrated ability to manage both long-term planning and daily operational executionSharp analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and data-driven decision-makingEffective communicator and collaborator across technical, operational, and executive teamsAPICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent) preferredPreferred Skills / Qualifications:Mission-driven focus with commitment to defense readiness and advanced energy programsStrategic thinker who can bridge tactical scheduling with long-term planningOrganized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative and proactive communicator across program, operations, and supply chain teamsContinuous improvement mindset, with experience implementing planning best practices and toolsAleron companies (Acara Solutions, Aleron Shared Resources, Broadleaf Results, Lume Strategies, TalentRise, Viaduct) are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
