Job Description: Brooksource is seeking a Network Operations Engineer for a Fortune 50 client in the healthcare industry. You would be working with one of our best client relationships in a fast paced, high energy agile environment within the clients Infrastructure Networking and Security group. This team provides strategic guidance and support for cloud security solutions. The team is rapidly growing to support the workload of all security functions.


As a Network Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing firewall solutions to ensure the security and integrity of a network. This includes configuring and maintaining Palo Alto and Cisco firewall systems, implementing security controls, policies, and procedures, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align security measures with overall business goals. The engineer plays a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive data and adapting security measures to address evolving threats in the network environment. To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience with Palo Alto, Cisco VPN’s, an operational knowledge of Zscaler, and Azure networking experience.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in implementing and managing security controls, policies, and procedures- emphasizing an operational approach.
  • PCNSA certification or equivalent experience in the administration route, emphasizing operational aspects.
  • Operational knowledge of Zscaler to manage and maintain workflows, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong experience configuring and maintaining Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls.
  • Must be willing to submit an SF85 for Security Clearance since you will be working with Military Data


Day-to-day

  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive healthcare data through effective security controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security measures with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Implement, manage, and fine-tune security controls and policies to adapt to evolving security threats.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize security configurations to enhance overall network security.
