Senior Software DeveloperCACI is seeking a highly motivated and independent SME Software Developer to take sole responsibility for maintaining and supporting a critical legacy application within the Intelligence Community (IC). This unique role combines the challenges of working autonomously on an orphaned system with the opportunity to apply agile methodologies in a high-stakes environment.Responsibilities include:Independently managing all aspects of the application, from bug fixes to feature enhancementsDesigning, developing, and modifying software systems, with a focus on Enterprise Software and User Interface Application DevelopmentProducing detailed specifications and writing high-quality, efficient codeReverse engineering existing code to understand system functionalityImplementing updates and patches to ensure continued operationDocumenting processes and system architecture for future referenceProviding user support and troubleshooting issues as they ariseEvaluating potential modernization or replacement options for the long-termDesigns and develops visually-pleasing, content-rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigationAnalyzes and studies customer requirements to determine the most effective software technologies to satisfy their needsDesigns, creates, tests, and maintains software-based applications to satisfy customer requirementsProvides software process management and configuration management throughout the software development lifecycleResolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancementsSupports software architecture development, requirements analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and legacy systems)Required qualifications:TS/SCI w/Poly clearanceBachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience. In lieu of a bachelor's degree 12 years of experience if AA/AS, or 14 additional years of experience with HS diplomaMust have experience with AgileExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomouslyVersatility to handle multiple aspects of software development and supportStrong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and usersExperience producing high-quality work independently while adapting agile principles to a solo development environmentExperience providing software demonstrations once a quarter to the customerASP.NetC#LINQ and entity framework Object Relationship Mapping (ORM)PythonJavaScriptCSSSQL / MySQL ServerVisual Studio workstations and some EclipseISS Web Servers hostingXML and PDF generationMust remain on the client site during Program core hours of 0900-1500.
