Come experience the passion and drive that makes Hollywood Feed a family.Job Summary:The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager and supports the manager with the aim of improving business performance and customer satisfaction and holding to Hollywood Feed's #1 Policy "Do what is right by the customer."Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities:Communicate openly and respectfully with supervisors, corporate office, and coworkersWorks a minimum of 40 hours per week3 closing shifts per week3 Saturdays per monthAttends the annual Assistant Store Manager Meeting in personEnsuring that all Hollywood Feed policies and procedures are being followed, including compliance with legal requirementsLeads employees in the Hollywood Feed Standards of Business with a clean, organized, and safe location to ensure the protection of both customers and employeesDemonstrates leadership by maintaining excellent customer service skillsLeads employees in efficiently operating the store location by ensuring the team completes all daily tasks thoroughly and correctlyEnsures positive, long-term customer relationships by modeling how to resolve issues, anticipate and address customer needsReaches out into the community by attending or creating events to interact with the public via social media and maintain the store's online presenceWorks with Store Manager to support the business and store goalsExecutes administrative tasks thoroughly, correctly and timelyConfirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policiesEnsures Warehouse/Vendor orders are processed correctly when received, using the company point of sale system. Also, research, analyze, communicate and correct discrepancies with the appropriate departmentEnsures that employees are thoroughly and accurately completing the required monthly cycle count but also proactively doing weekly spot inventory countsWorks alongside team to place and rotate merchandise to attract positive attention from customers, and accomplishing related results, as neededEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent experienceRequired Skills & Abilities:The love and dedication to animals is an essential requirement for Hollywood Feed's cultureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to create and present ideas, and reports in various formatsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with employeesExcellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasksExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailMust have a valid driver's license and a minimum of 2 years driving experience (This time frame can include learner's permit)Physical Requirements:18 years of age and olderPhysically able to lift 40lbs repeatedly up to head height to stock shelves and put away deliveries multiple times a dayPhysically able to continuously bend, kneel, push, pull, reach, and twist multiples times a dayPhysically able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hoursPhysically able to climb ladders multiple times a day to put up and access products for customersMeet the requirements of our Safe Driving Policy and be willing to drive our company owned Same Day Delivery VehicleThe above is designed to describe the general nature and scope of the job and is not an exhaustive listing of all duties, expectations or tasks and should not be taken as such.
