Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Deployment and Build Engineer (Platform Deployment & Support) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina.

The company arranges and manages hotel accommodations for airline crew members during layovers or between flights, including negotiating contracts with hotels and ensuring compliance with airline policies and standards.

Requirements
  • 2–5 years of professional experience with:
    • Jenkins;
    • Maven;
    • Bitbucket;
    • GitHub;
    • AWS and CI/CD tools;
    • Linux OS;
    • Java 7, 8, 11+;
    • Sonar;
    • Queue (ActiveMQ);
    • Unix scripts;
    • Databases: Oracle 12c & 19c (index, IOPS, basic query), PostgreSQL, AWS DynamoDB;
    • ITIL/ITSM;
    • Apache Camel.
  • Good communication skills (written and oral).
  • The ability to take initiative, ownership, and leadership of the deployment & build process and technical requirements.
  • Ability to build relationship management and coordination between dev, QA, and production support teams.
  • Expertise in reporting and tracking deployment efforts and results weekly.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: how can we improve and mature the build & deployment processes and tooling.
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of Spring.
  • Knowledge of Struts.
  • Experience with Jasper.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with deploying builds, configure the QA environment, and deploy to the production environment.
  • Maintain the scripts that require periodic maintenance (there are currently scripts that exist to perform the deployment to QA).
  • After every deployment, perform a sanity test to ensure the environment is available for the QA test cycle.
  • Learn the tools, processes, and basics of the applications being deployed.
  • Integrate the deployment process into the target state CI/CD.
  • Work on Oracle and Postgres dump loads on non-prod environments.
  • Triage, analyse, and resolve all the issues during the B&D.
