The position identifies, develops and analyzes key drivers, metrics and modeling to support decision-making and progress tracking.Primary Responsibilities:Provides timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of business resultsUtilizes systems (SAP, QlikView, Power BI, Adaptive) to consolidate and report actuals vs comparison periods and/or forecastReconciles financial reports to source systemsIdentifies, develops and analyzes key drivers and metrics to support decision-making and progress trackingSuggests and drives process improvement related to reporting and analysisManages the execution and delivery of the financial plan and forecastCoordinates with businesses and corporate departments on forecast developmentUtilizes financial systems to consolidate and report on forecastsAnalyzes key drivers of forecasted results vs prior periods and projectionsSuggests and drives process improvement related to the forecast processPerforms ad hoc modeling and analysisProactively reviews and analyzes information related to business KPIs for variance from normal trendsLeverages ERP and reporting systems to accelerate speed to insightsGathers, analyzes and summarizes data related to various business proposalsMonitors and reports relevant industry data and peer comparisonsDevelops and maintains various financial models to support the strategic planning processPerforms reporting and analysis functions for the State Steel Business UnitEnsures State Steel financial reporting is in alignment with SPSCI standardsLearns and navigates the MetalTraq ERP system and its financial data connectionsResearches and resolves financial, inventory, and operational inquiries within the appropriate system of recordActs as a key tester and resource during the ERP transition from MetalTraq to SAPWorks cross-functionally to support accurate and consistent reporting throughout system changes
