As a Maintenance Electrician you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power and equipment. You will be an essential part of the maintenance team and a play a large role in ensuring our building can provide power for production. You will be relied on for your expert knowledge of electricity, ability to troubleshoot, as well as your aptitude for working with your hands.


Responsibilities:

  • Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and other electrical systems
  • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems
  • Install safety and distribution components such as switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, and more
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
  • Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
  • Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
  • Trouble shoot and programming PLC
  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
  • Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
  • Adhere to all safety rules, have great attendance and give it your all every day

Essential Functions:

  • Proven experience as an electrician
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems (control and high voltage)
  • Demonstrate the ability to use electrical and hand tools such as wire strippers, voltmeters, and more
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics, electrical drawings, and blueprints
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight
  • Diploma in relevant vocational training or successful completion of an apprenticeship as an electrician or relevant field will be a plus
  • Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus
  • Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
  • Skill and ability of working with your hands, manual tools (must provide your own) and other instruments
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day and under pressure at times
  • Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills
  • Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
