Supervisory Management And Program AnalystThe primary purpose of this position is to ensure combat-credible space effects, capabilities, services, and subject matter expertise support U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) deterring strategic attack through a safe, secure, effective, and credible, global combat capability and, when directed, ensuring USSTRATCOM is ready to prevail in conflict.This position is open to federal employees - competitive service, career transition (CTAP, ICTAP, RPL), land and base management, veterans, and military spouses.Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short/long-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Evaluate work performance of subordinates. Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Interview candidates for positions; recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment. Hear and resolve complaints from employees, referring group grievances and more serious unresolved complaints to a higher level supervisor or manager. Participate fully with the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Operations, Cyber, and Nuclear (COO) in planning, developing, advising, and directing activities, and where appropriate, operations supporting USSTRATCOM.In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include applying qualitative/quantitative analysis techniques and procedures to analyze work methods, process improvements, and making recommendations to resolve policy issues.
