Our thrift stores play a vital role in funding our community services and providing affordable shopping options to our neighbors.About the RoleJoin our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Store Sales Associate. We're seeking friendly and enthusiastic individuals who will help create a welcoming shopping experience for our diverse community of customers and donors. This role combines customer service, retail operations, and mission-driven work to support The Salvation Army's community programs. You'll be an essential part of our team, transforming donations into resources that directly support our mission of serving those in need in our community.Pay Rate: $15/hrStatus: Part-time, 19-25hrsKey ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and offering assistanceProcess sales transactions accurately using our Point of Sale system including opening, closing, and balancingMaintain store appearance through cleaning, organizing, and restockingHelp meet daily production goals by processing and displaying new merchandiseContribute to a positive shopping environmentWhat You'll Need to SucceedRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or currently pursuingStrong English communication skills for customer and team interactionsBasic computer skills and ability to learn new systemsAbility to work a flexible scheduleProfessional appearance and adherence to dress codeReliable and team-oriented mindsetPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periodsCapability to move throughout the storePhysical ability to handle merchandise and maintain store appearanceTraining and DevelopmentComprehensive POS system training providedExpected POS system proficiency within 3 monthsOngoing professional development opportunitiesWhat Success Looks LikeAccurate and efficient sales transactionsPositive customer feedbackClean and organized store environmentMeeting daily production and sales goalsStrong team collaborationReliable attendance and punctualityThe Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer.
