THE POSITION


Washington County Behavioral Health, within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is recruiting for a Deflection Program Specialist to join our Addictions Program This is an exciting opportunity to provide technical and administrative support for the Deflection Program in Washington County. The Behavioral Health Division has broad responsibilities as the local Community Mental Health Program (CMHP) and as a delegate of our local Coordinated Care Organizations (CCO).

About the Opportunity
The Deflection Program Specialist will act as the primary technical resource and administrative support for the Deflection Program.
Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Enters, exports, manages, and analyzes Deflection Program data for program monitoring, reports, and evaluation.
  • Creates dashboards and visualizations to support Deflection Program information dissemination to stakeholders.
  • Administers data software, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Assists in preparing, updating, and monitoring budgets, monitoring program expenditures, and managing and administering contracts.
  • Provides meeting support and develops agendas, meeting notes, and other documents necessary for the Deflection Program.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in behavioral health with an understanding of substance use disorders, harm reduction, and the criminal justice system. They will have knowledge, skills, and abilities in data management and analysis, dashboards and databases, data software, and creating data visualizations. The candidate will be familiar with managing information in accordance with privacy laws and understand how and when to share protected health information with other parties. We are looking for someone who enjoys collaboration and working across systems to achieve goals and objectives. They must also have strong organizational skills, be able to synthesize complex information, execute innovative tasks, and prioritize and meet timelines.

It is preferred to have a credential in:
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor I, II or III

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
Possession of one of the following criteria:

  • An Associate‘s Degree in a social service, business administration, or related field; AND One (1) year of work experience in program administration, development, evaluation, or coordination, and /or contract administration; OR
  • Three (3) years of work experience in program administration, development, evaluation, and/or contract administration.

Selection Process
