Position: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Locations: Various locations in Florida

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Shift: Day/Night Rotation

Shift Schedule: 3 X 12-hour shifts per week (totaling 36 hours)



Overview:

The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility for the comprehensive care of patients, encompassing observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role includes health education and counseling, promoting wellness, maintaining health, and preventing illness. Additionally, administering medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized is a key aspect, adhering to state regulations.



Responsibilities:

- Proficiency in Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry care.

- Experience in acute care settings is essential.

- Oversee the care of assigned patients, ensuring overall accountability.

- Coordinate efficient patient care processes, from screening to discharge arrangements.

- Maintain and review patient records, including test results and examinations.

- Administer medications per physician orders and handle incoming telephone inquiries, including potential triage.



Qualifications:

- Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

- Prior experience in acute care settings is required.

- Possession of a current Florida State Registered Nurse license.

- If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is necessary within 90 days of employment.

- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. frequently.

- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal communication, and PC skills are essential.
