Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization

Fixture and Tooling Design

Design Manufacturability Assessment

Design Incidence Management

  • Act as a key contact for design-related issues during manufacturing, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
  • Document incidents and lessons learned to drive future design improvements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Perform root cause analyses and develop corrective action plans for manufacturing challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical manufacturing engineering, especially with electrical and cabling installations in the rail industry.
  • Expertise in fixture and tooling design.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes for passenger railcar electrical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with electrical process documentation (schematics, diagrams, etc.).
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools (CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with quality control methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
