Title: Pharmacy Clerk Location: Sacramento, CA 95605 Duration: 5 Months Pay Rate: $21.00 - 23.50/hr on W2 First three weeks are full-time M-F 1:30-10:00 PM to complete training. Screening Questions: Q1: Working environment is production based. Have they ever had an hourly goal? Q2: We are a high volume and fast paced environment. It requires 8HR+ on your feet and Overtime is mandatory. Are they okay with that? Work Schedule: Business Need Schedule Part time job posting, will be discussed in the interview. The business will decide which days are needed to be worked for the part time schedule. First three weeks are full time M-F 1:30-10:00PM to complete training The Pharmacy Clerk in the Central Fill Pharmacy packages prescriptions and prepares them for shipping. The role entails several duties which include but not limited to; packaging and shipping prescriptions, performing process audits, restocking and cleaning. A Central Fill is production based which requires a pharmacy clerk to maintain consistent and continuous work flow to meet team goals and individual hourly production goals. In addition has ideal candidate has the ability to work productively either independently or as a team with acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks. CAREER LEVEL DESCRIPTION: This is a junior entry level position where the incumbent is not required to have related work experience. KNOWLEDGE: Limited understanding of technical aspects of job. Will learn job skills and become familiar with company policies through 'on-the-job' training. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Involves routine tasks of limited scope associated entirely with own role. Works on clearly defined tasks. MINIMUM EDUCATION & TYPICAL EXPERIENCE OR EQUIV. COMBINATION: Work is closely managed and reviewed regularly. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures. Key Responsibilities (List the top five to seven essential responsibilities in priority order.) % 1. Performs prescription packaging that entails handling HIPAA sensitive information and medication information. 40 2. Performs prescriptions sortation utilizing handheld scanners. Completes the sortation process by scanning the prescription shipping label barcode and confirming the accurate location by scanning the location bin barcode. After confirmation, the prescription is placed in the accurate bin. 30 3. Performs audits for closed bins: This entails performing a physical count of the closed tote, and then comparing the physical count to the tote manifest systematic count. If the count does not match communication to management is required to rectify the discrepancy. 10 4. Reading and analyzing application screens, and pops up windows to ensure that all HIPAA sensitive information is being followed by standard operating procedures. 5. Performs chain of custody audit (COC): Records total bins created in the system, by location, for a production day. Ensure that the total tote system count equals the physical count. Responsible for having the pickup driver sign for the correct tote count. 5 6. Performs prescription packaging that entails handling HIPAA sensitive information and medication information. 5 7. Performs prescriptions sortation utilizing handheld scanners. Completes the sortation process by scanning the prescription shipping label barcode and confirming the accurate location by scanning the location bin barcode. After confirmation, the prescription is placed in the accurate bin. 3 100% Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): Education/Training - High School Degree or equivalent experience Business Experience - One year warehouse, retail or customer service setting Basic computer skills Interaction in a team environment where effective communication is needed to be successful Specialized Knowledge/Skills - Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA laws Follow oral instruction Perform continuous and repetitive work Perform under stress (i.e. time pressures) Make judgments and/or decisions Switch between various tasks without loss of efficiency or composure Interact appropriately with people in a team environment Basic mathematic skills Operate a pallet jack Operate a hand truck/dolly Operate scanning units Working Conditions: Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) - • Large scale pharmacy/warehouse production environment • Exposure to cold conditions in refrigerated walk-in station (5%-7% time) • Occasional handling of environmentally hazardous medications Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) - Occasionally the following physical abilities will be needed: o Occasionally lift 10 to 20 lbs o Occasionally carry 10 to 20 lbs o Stooping, kneeling, crouching o Reaching overhead and wrist level Frequently the following physical abilities will be needed o Utilizing ladders to retrieve supplies and products o Using firm grasps Continuously the following physical abilities will be needed o Standing and walking o Reading and hearing o Reaching at table level o Using simple grasps
