Onsite at Arnoff Moving & Storage located in Poughkeepsie NY. FULL Time

Arnoff Is hiring an experienced diesel mechanic to work out of our Poughkeepsie, NY shop. Ideal applicants will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in diesel repair and service for heavy trucks, light trucks, automotive, small engines, refrigeration, welding, & hydraulics. 

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the thorough and efficient repair/maintenance of company trucks, tractor trailers, automobiles, & other heavy equipment to support the operational needs of the company. 
2. Full Time 40+ hours per week with a 6:30am start time. 
3. The primary duty of this role is to ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for the A-Team
4. Ability to perform a Federal Heavy Duty Vehicle Inspection. 
5. Must be able to perform vehicle diagnostics. 
6. Willingness to work as part of a team of solely depending upon the task at hand. 
7. Responsible for keeping supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; and/or verifying receipt. 

Requirements: 

1. Must be able to lift 50lbs at times. 
2. Basic hand tools. 
3. Ability to work from 6:30am – 3:30pm Monday-Friday.
4. Valid CDL license is preferred. 
5. NYS Heavy Duty Vehicle Inspectors License. 
6. Minimum of 5 years working as a fleet mechanic is preferred.
