Medical Billing Specialist

Manutec Ventures is seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is vital for ensuring that our medical billing processes run smoothly and efficiently contributing to our mission of innovating health food industry to promote health and wellness.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and process medical billing for various services ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility as well as maintain uptodate records of billing information.
  • Submit claims to insurance companies in a timely manner following up as necessary to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and send itemized statements to patients and handle inquiries regarding their accounts.
  • Review billing data for accuracy completeness and resolution of any rejected claims in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers insurance companies and patients to facilitate smooth billing processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of current billing practices procedures and regulations.
  • ist in the reconciliation of accounts receivable and prepare financial reports as needed.
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; ociate degree or certification in medical billing and coding is preferred.
  • Proficient in medical billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare insurance practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ss.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Desired Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ICD10 CPT and HCPCS coding standards.
  • Strong communication ss both written and verbal to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
