Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, Kafka, and Oracle, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain complex software solutions. This role is critical to the success of our software projects, and the candidate must be able to work effectively within a team environment as well as independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications.
  • Implement and manage messaging systems using Kafka.
  • Work with Oracle databases to design and optimize queries, stored procedures, and overall database performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  1. Java Expertise: Strong proficiency in Java with experience in building scalable and high-performance applications.
  2. Kafka: Hands-on experience with Kafka, including setup, configuration, and optimization.
  3. Oracle: Proficiency in working with Oracle databases, including writing complex queries, performance tuning, and database management.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  1. Caching Technologies: Experience with caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached, or similar to optimize application performance.
  2. Kubernetes: Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes to manage and scale applications.
  3. Capital Markets Experience: Previous experience in the financial services sector, particularly in capital markets, would be a strong advantage.
