Monitor access control at the main entrance, verifying identification and managing visitor logs to help to deter unauthorized entry. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including communicating with building management and Allied Universal personnel. Maintain a professional presence at the front desk, answering inquiries and providing directions or information as appropriate. Document all security-related incidents and/or unusual activities according to site and Allied Universal procedures. Collaborate with onsite staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and guests.Minimum Requirements: An armed guard card or license is required. At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required. A DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate is required. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
