Journeyman Electrician

Journeyman ElectricianHeartland Electric is seeking a Journeyman Electrician. This position performs a wide variety of duties to direct, control and coordinate Heartland Electric Functions. Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks while maintaining, repairing and installing electrical. Requires working knowledge of simple equipment and hand tools. Maintains vehicles and company equipment and tools. Layout and installation of electrical construction under direct supervision of Project Supervisor. Under the direction of the Project Manager & Master Electrician, the Journeyman Electrician is the on-site electrician. The Journeyman duties are to organize, orchestrate and perform the electrical work and to manage his apprentice to complete the project on time. The Journeyman Electrician will maintain and enforce safe jobsite work practices to ensure safety of our employees.Job Responsibilities:Installation of electrical construction under the direct supervision of a Project Supervisor and licensed Contractor.Trenching, installation of conduit, pulling wire, installation of wiring devices, clean-up of jobsite, and other tasks assigned by Project Supervisor and or Manager.Attend scheduled meetings for jobsite if required, safety, and companywide.Draw, interpret, and read graphic instructions such as blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, or other visual aids.Read, learn, and follow the National Electrical Code and City Codes.Education:High School Diploma, or GED, required.Associates degree, preferred.Qualifications and Skill Requirements:Must hold a current State of Nebraska and City of Grand Island Journeyman License.The Company:Putting the needs of customers first has taken Chief Industries, Inc. from a small construction company in 1954, to a highly diverse company with a reputation for manufacturing quality products and offering unparalleled customer service.
