Position Responsibilities

The Titling Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the titling process for financed equipment assets across business units. This role involves managing the accurate and timely processing of titles, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining detailed records of all transactions. The Titling Manager coordinates with various departments, including sales, credit, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and resolve any title-related issues. Additionally, this position requires the development and implementation of titling policies and procedures; training, developing and managing the Titling team; and liaising with external agencies and clients to facilitate the transfer and perfection of titles. The Titling Manager also stays current with industry changes and regulatory updates to ensure the company's practices remain compliant and efficient.


Skills & Specifications

  • Strong knowledge of commercial asset titling regulations with experience in vehicle financing and titling in all states
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and to effectively adapt to change
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in relevant software applicator
  • Strong preference for candidate to work from the Minnetonka, MN, office. Open to fully remote for the direct Equipment Finance Titling experience.


Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial vehicle/equipment titling, loan processing, or a related area, with at least 2 years in leadership or management


Key Tasks

  • Manage the titling process for commercial loans and leases, ensuring all assets are efficiently and accurately titled
  • Supervise a team of titling specialists, managing performance, and providing training, development, and mentorship
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding asset titling
  • Work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and legal teams to resolve any titling issues
  • Oversee escalated issues and ensure timely resolution of all errors
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of titled assets including monitoring and reporting on lien perfection rates and aging of outstanding titles
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including title companies and government agencies
  • Prepare and submit reports on titling operations to senior management
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in titling operations
  • Projects and other duties as required
