The school's mission is to prepare students to be effective Christians who understand and practice the principles of the Christian faith, knowledgeable Armenian-Americans who appreciate their history and culture, proficient communicators in English and Armenian, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens. Merdinian is fully accredited by WASC.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a middle school Science teacher at C. & E. Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School in Los Angeles, CA. The Science Teacher will plan and deliver engaging science lessons to middle school students. The role involves curriculum development, effective communication with students and colleagues, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Strong background in science education
- Experience teaching in a middle school setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Passion for science and inspiring students
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a relevant field
- Teaching credential or certification is preferred
