Our properties live by the philosophy that they are an important part of their communities and look for ways to partner in the local community to make a difference.Job Description:The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for helping to ensure the housekeeping staff maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of the guest rooms and surrounding corridors. When needed, the Supervisor/Inspector may also assist in cleaning rooms. Supervisors are also responsible to accommodate every guest's reasonable needs and requests with a courteous and pleasant response in effort to create a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our "ONE TEAM. ONE VISION." philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.The job is simple:Focus on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs.Continuously exemplify and live by our Culture.Meet/exceed our company goals and three metrics.Complete all required trainingAdhere to all standard operating procedures and property specific brand standardsPerform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guestsProvide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associateHold the housekeeping staff to the highest possible standard of room cleanliness, ensuring a room is guest ready before being released to the front desk for saleWhen needed, clean guest rooms and public areas. Report any deficiency and equipment malfunctions in rooms and public areas to the maintenance departmentAssist in making beds neatly with fresh linens, pick up trash from floor and vacuum, and empties trash from waste cansEnsures the rooms are up to brand standards with items such as all clean mirrors. wiped shelves, doorframes and furniture, and dusting of all windowsills, and baseboards and ensure that furniture is arranged properlyEnsure proper clean and disinfect of bathrooms; scrubbing basin, bathtub, toilet, and tile floor and all items are replenished appropriate supplies in rooms (glasses, stationary, soaps, shampoo, tissue, toilet paper, guest directories) and place clean towels on rackEnsure clean hallway area in front of rooms.Report to the Executive Housekeeper all rooms vacant and clean and rooms that are occupied and cleanReport any discrepancies of furniture, equipment, and room conditionMust be responsible for security of guests, fellow associates and hotel assetsProvide assistance when needed to fellow associates, guest, and other departmentsNecessary Skills:Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assetsHave knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation proceduresAble to report to work for scheduled shiftsAble to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in personAble to work a flexible schedule.
