Position Overview


The FP&A Analyst will play a key role in supporting the financial planning, forecasting, and analysis activities of the organization. Working closely within the Finance Team and cross-functional teams, the FP&A Analyst will provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making and drive business performance.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with various departments to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess and forecast business performance, including revenue projections, expense forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analysis to identify key drivers of performance and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for executive management and board meetings, providing clear and concise explanations of financial results and trends.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support decision-making on strategic initiatives, investments, and operational improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress against targets and provide early identification of potential risks or opportunities.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, including coordinating inputs from various department heads, analyzing budget variances, and preparing budget presentations.
  • Support finance leadership in evaluating and implementing process improvements and best practices in financial planning and analysis.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes that may impact financial performance and business operations.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance communication and alignment on financial objectives and initiatives.


Skills and Qualifications Required

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial planning software/tools (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in manufacturing or a project-based environment would be highly advantageous.

 


The FP&A Analyst will be report to the Controller. The position requires full-time work week spent in the office. Normal hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm and Friday 7:00am – 12:00pm. Travel is not expected to be part of the regular duties for this position.



Physical Requirements:

·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

·       Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. 

·       Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
