This position does not offer relocation assistance.Job SummarySuccessful candidates will work out of Glen Allen, VA. Dominion Energy is looking for individuals with Supply Chain Category Management experience to identify, plan, and execute strategic sourcing strategies for Engineering Services or Rotating Equipment (turbines and generators). This individual will work with SCM (Supply Chain Management) leadership, finance, supply chain sourcing specialists, and internal Power Generation business unit personnel to develop the long-term strategic sourcing strategy that supports complex construction contracting and management. The successful candidates will be responsible for determining long term needs through category/commodity management, spend data analysis, and collaboration with internal stakeholders. Once sourcing needs are identified, this individual will lead cross functional teams to plan, develop, identify/evaluate potential suppliers, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate agreements, and execute these strategic agreements. This individual will also establish and execute supplier performance management programs for strategic suppliers identified through this process. Although this role will not have direct reports, the successful candidates will be responsible for directing and collaborating with peers in the sourcing organization. This challenging opportunity in category management is not just a change in SCM organizational roles, but also a change to our procurement/sourcing process. We are looking for innovative and enthusiastic change agents to help usher in this new chapter at Dominion Energy. This individual's role will include but is not limited to:Setting meaningful category savings targets and deliver savings results by implementing procurement strategies based on TCO analysis and innovation.Perform category management of assigned areas, such as Engineering Services, or Rotating Equipment such as turbines and generators.Develop, build and present strategic plans and dashboards for assigned spend categories.Develop PowerBI Dashboards for interactive cost management for assigned categories.Frequent Business Unit Executive updates on cost analysis and budget impact strategies.Proactively engage and collaborate with Business Unit customers on strategic business goals, category strategies, initiatives, and budget impact targets.Lead the formulation of category strategies and negotiation of key terms for highly complex sourcing events.Develop and Lead charter initiatives for process improvements and budget impact opportunities.Lead cross-functional, enterprise-wide savings initiatives.Effectively communicate initiative updates and savings targets across the organization.Analyze relevant markets and assess cost impacts of market events for assigned categories.Maintain supplier lists for assigned categories and build partnerships with strategic suppliers.Maintain relationship with supplier senior executives.Travel as needed to meet with Business Unit customers and suppliers (expected travel up to 1 week per month).Perform other duties as requested or assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience7+ years related experience.3+ years of procurement experience in category assignments detailed as above (preferred).Strong understanding of business cost drivers.Hands-on understanding of business processes and objectives.Developing knowledge of assigned categories.Excellent project management skills, with ability to resolve problems and to remove barriers to success.Strong analytic toolset that will support the creation of financial targets, detailed analysis of spend data, and structure of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) models.Strong mentoring skills.Ability to navigate organization and influence decisions.Ability to develop and implement a structured negotiation strategy.Education RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:BachelorPreferred Disciplines: Business Administration, Supply Chain ManagementOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.Working ConditionsOffice Work Environment 76 -100%Travel Up to 25%Certain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
