Job Description:
FrontEnd Development:
  • Develop test and deploy new interactive web elements as requested or required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface issues prioritizing based on impact and urgency.
  • Coordinate with other technical teams to ensure seamless functionality.
Content Management and Development:
  • Create edit and publish new website content.
  • Perform site audits and ensure consistency and compliance with 508 accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with the PRAC Transparency team and other directorates to support messaging and publication needs.
  • Conduct plain language reviews for all new and existing content.
Technical Environment Support:
  • Monitor and maintain website performance using tools such as SiteImprove and Google Analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that impede public access or degrade website performance.
  • Document and communicate performance metrics and corrective actions to stakeholders.
Decommissioning Support:
  • Work closely with the PRAC Transparency team OCIO and National Archives (NARA) to develop and implement a decommissioning plan for PandemicOversight.gov.
  • Ensure the comprehensive delivery and archiving of all web content including webpages data displays and dashboards.
  • Manage communication and coordination activities such as creating decommissioning notices and banners.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Communications or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in content management and frontend development.
  • Proficiency in HTML CSS JavaScript and content management systems.
  • Experience with web accessibility standards and 508 compliance.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with website performance tools such as Google Analytics and SiteImprove.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with government website management and decommissioning projects.
  • Knowledge of NARA requirements and archiving standards.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 Teams and other collaborative platforms.
